IT Project Management contract (initial 6 months contract via an Umbrella Company) has just become available with an Edinburgh based Investments / Asset Management organisation. The role will specifically align to the Delivery Stream. This team is responsible for custom in-house build software development and the implementation and management of off the shelf applications in support of the Trading and Settlements Departments of the business.
Our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager who can take end-to-end ownership of the backlog for their existing in-house built Trading systems ongoing improvements.
Successful candidate will be also responsible for managing an upgrade to their existing FIX infrastructure and integration with trading platforms.
Remotely based for the foreseeable and Edinburgh City Centre when eventually returning to the Office.
To be successful in this role & requirement, our Client is seeking candidates with the following knowledge & experience;
* A strong & proven IT Project Management skill-set with a solid Financial Services background & Client List (ideally Investments, Asset Management or Wealth)
* A background that includes multiple Software/Applications/Portal Development projects - not Infrastructure
* Strong methodology knowledge (ideally with certifications e.g. scrum master) Agile methodologies, Scrum, Kanban.
* 1st class Stakeholder Management & Engagement skills
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects.
* Excellent communication & inter-personal skills - the ability to work across all levels of the business, quickly building trust & rapport
