DevOps Security Engineer (DevSec, Azure, Kubernetes) - umbrella

DevOps Security Engineer needed urgently for an initial 6 month role with our Edinburgh based Wealth Management client. They are looking for DevOps / DevSec Engineer with Security experience and expereince in CI/CD pipeline - Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Microservices and one or all of Splunk / DataDog / Instana. The role needs to engage via an Umbrella company.

The right candidate will have demonstrable experience within DevOps roles and will have prior knowledge and experience in DevOps related Security.

You will be working within their DevOps team that is primarily responsible for cloud and cloud native platforms that other development teams utilise for in-house applications, along with the associated CI/CD tooling. This role will suit a candidate with the eagerness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge.

To be successful in this role you must have the following experience and knowledge:

* Demonstrable experience of DevOps principles and practices
* Previous experience being involvement in embedding secure development practices in all stages of the development and release process
* Experience working, and ensuring compliance with, industry standards such as ISO27001 / CIS benchmarks
* Demonstrable experience of secure authentication and authorisation methods
* Understanding of underlying infrastructure including networking & network security
* Agile Development & Software Development Lifecycle
* Proficient with Enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
* Experience of multiple Cloud platforms
* Experience using Infrastructure as code
* Experience in securing apps/platforms/tooling
* Ability to handle multiple streams of work with changing priorities
* Demonstrable experience of process automation
* Experience with enterprise and open source monitoring tools such as Splunk, DataDog, Instana etc.

Abilities and technical skills:-

* CI/CD pipeline - Azure DevOps or similar
* Azure/AWS
* Kubernetes/Microservices
* Strong hands-on experience in DevOps/Operations/SRE proficiency's
* Strong experience in deploying and debugging applications to production environments
* Strong experience in securing Cloud & Cloud Native applications

Starting as soon as possible, the role for the time being will be based remotely, however there may be a requirement come in to the city centre Edinburgh office every week or fortnight for 1 - 2 days as and when office based work resumes.
