Windchill PDM Application Engineer (PLM, Creo, Support) experienced IT professional needed for our Engineering client urgently. The right candidate must have demonstrable experience supporting and working closely with PTC Windchill PDM.

The function sits within the Digital Technology team and is responsible for the delivery and support of engineering and manufacturing solutions to all UK based divisions to successfully enable operational business and operational delivery. You will primarily support their Windchill PDM solution, but will also support the business in more general engineering applications.

This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the Windchill solution, and any configuration changes that are deemed necessary. It will also play a part in understanding business requirements for the upcoming expansion to PLM, and be critical to the implementation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Act as the Subject Matter Expert and technical lead for PTC Windchill PDM with a particular focus on administering, configuring and modifying workflows within the tool.
- Software upgrades and data migration, to include associated products such as PTC Creo.
- Regular software maintenance, performance tuning and patching, including occasional out of hours support, where appropriate / required.
- Plan works with the Head of Service ensuring operational integrity and compliance covering information security, change management, asset management and software licensing.
- Meet IS assurance governance and policies to ensure we operate with confidence, through effective maintenance of secure and stable IT platforms for the business, adherence to company security, accreditation and audit requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of key service level agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain system documentation, support procedures and rota/cover arrangements with actively managed preventative upgrade cycles.
- Support effective operational supplier performance and repairs & maintenance contracts, including software licensing compliance, software licence & support contract agreements and renewals.
- Collaborate across the breadth of the Digital Technology function, develop strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure that the service is supported by the appropriate technical specialists.
- Ensure backup schedules & data retention and period maintenance are aligned to company requirements.
- Agree and participate in scheduled BC/DR exercises, to ensure that service is tested and DR ready

Knowledge of associated engineering tools such as Creo, AutoCAD, Matlab, mentor Graphics and Ansys would be advantageous but not essential.

This is a Hybrid working role with the option to perform most of the work remotely with 1 - 2 days per week on-site in Essex. Candidates must engage via an FCSA accredited umbrella company.
