Senior Technical Sales Engineer


Role type: Full time, Permanent
Location: Fully remote
Salary: £50,000-£55,000 per annum


I am looking for a Senior Technical Sales Engineer to join an award-winning streaming company, working in the fast-paced worlds of sports, media and betting

This company is widely recognised as an industry leader in live video and OTT, trusted to deliver live and on demand video solutions to audiences worldwide.
This role will be vital in bridging the gap between commercial and technology teams to support the delivery of some of the most stunning sports OTT experiences to millions of fans around the world.

This strategically critical role will empower and support commercial teams with highly complex client requirements and simplify the client onboarding and commercial process, whilst providing clear communication and process for the technology teams to act on commercial needs.

What you'll be doing …

*Understand and promote the product suite from both a high level and with a deep technical understanding of the architecture and capability of the product set
*Support the commercial team in business meetings, RFP (request for proposal) processes and commercial calls to be the product expert for the product suite.
*Manage, Design and Architect solutions to fulfil clients' requirements utilising the product stack and help achieve the client goal in the most efficient way
*Work with senior stakeholders to maintain an accurate price book for the commercial team and simplify the build estimation process.
*Prepare cost estimates/proposals for commercial team opportunities by studying all related customer requirements, consulting with technology teams
*Work and bridge the gap between technology teams and commercial teams to define and deliver products, projects and prototype specs for the technology teams ensuring that development is aligned to the overall business strategy and goals
*Work with Project Managers to design a comprehensive sales handover strategy and associated statements of work that deliver against a client specified needs.
*Define project delivery objectives with the project Team and ensure that requirements are captured and estimated accurately.
*Assist with on-boarding of technology integrations and debugging for SAAS customers utilising standalone components of the stack.
*Develop and maintain core product documentation, including product requirements, market research and product usage data in conjunction with the Marketing and Commercial Teams
*Utilise Jira to manage and track development availability and feedback to commercial teams

What you will need …

*Understanding of digital platforms and the OTT sector
*Track record of delivering quality products on time and on budget
*Strong problem solving and technical investigation skills
*Understanding of the commercial lifecycle and negotiation
*Comfortable leading discussions and workshops at executive and senior management level to help drive decision-making and ownership
*Training in Scrum and Agile methodologies and evidence of practical application
*Practical experience of writing user stories and statements of work
*Experience in analysing Client requirements and forming into a proposal.
*First class written and verbal presentation skills
*A passion and desire to learn new technologies and integrate into our technology stack in the future
