Senior Oracle Developer

Oracle to .Net Migration project

£550-£575 per day (via an Umbrella Company)

A large & well-known Financial Services organization, powered by Data & Technology, is currently seeking an experienced Oracle Developer to join a key Migration Project.

Modernising a long-standing enterprise system built on PHP and Oracle, they are transitioning to a modern .NET (C#) architecture & a key focus of this transformation is the migration of a large/complex Oracle database, including over 240 stored procedures and extensive embedded business logic. The existing database will be migrated to Postgres or MySQL and to be successful, our Client is looking for experienced candidates with the following knowledge & experience:

  • Extensive & proven experience developing in Oracle PL/SQL, including deep knowledge of stored procedures, triggers, and packages.
  • Proven experience in migrating business logic from Oracle to .NET (C#), with a focus on re-architecture rather than direct translation.
  • Experience on other Database Migration Projects, ideally from Oracle to Postgres or MySQL
  • Previous experience within other large & established Financial Services organisations
  • Strong problem-solving & communication skills with excellent communication
