Our client requires an experienced Project Manager to support a critical TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings [Protection of Employment]) programme.

The role requires demonstrable expertise in HR & Change project management, working with multi-disciplinary teams, and the ability to manage risks, dependencies, and progress against an integrated project plan. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the transition of employees from one public sector organisation to another, ensuring that all aspects of the transfer go as smoothly as possible.

This is a full-time position requiring a dedicated Project Manager who can provide the necessary leadership and structure to drive the programme to success.

The role is based on site in London 3 days per week and candidates must engage via an FCSA accredited Umbrella Company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of the TUPE programme, managing all aspects of the employee transfer process.
  • Work closely with the Head of HR to ensure seamless integration and mitigate risks throughout the transition.
  • Manage multi-disciplinary teams to ensure all dependencies are mapped and progress is monitored.
  • Develop and maintain an integrated project plan, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met on time.
  • Oversee the management of risks and issues using RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies) log.
  • Ensure that all employment contract considerations, pensions, benefits, and other HR-related aspects are planned and executed effectively.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting to key stakeholders on the status of the transition programme.
  • Work in close collaboration with HR specialists to ensure all aspects of the transfer are considered and implemented in a structured manner.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience managing large-scale HR & Change projects, ideally in the public sector and involving HR-related transformations.
  • Strong background in project governance and risk management, including RAID.
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams to drive project success.
  • Previous experience in HR Transformation programmes is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with TUPE processes and transfers.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and drive a complex programme to successful delivery.
  • Previous experience working on TUPE transfers, particularly within a public sector or similar environment.
  • Strong HR knowledge or experience in HR-related transformation projects.
