2x Java Lead Full Stack Engineers - Modern Web Technologies, Banking, Customer Transformation, contract, Cardiff / Remote
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join very exciting initiative within retail & community banking. The role as a Lead Software Engineer is vital in delivering applications, systems and services that are fit for purpose and meet the quality standards that customers expect.
Starting as soon as possible for a 6 month initial contract. There is a requirement to be in the Cardiff office on an adhoc basis.
As a senior software engineer, you will play a key role in helping ensure efficient delivery of digital solutions. You will also be able to demonstrate:
* Ability to work with the business, risk and audit stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide technical assistance
* Provide coaching on technical and application queries to junior software engineers within Feature, Project and Run/Service Teams
* Strong leadership capabilities
Technical background required to be successful in this role:
* Significant exposure to modern web technologies
* Java
* Angular
* React
* Spring, Spring Boot
* Rest API's
* Node.js
* JavaScript
* SQL Server
* .Net / C# knowledge / experience also advantageous
* Strong working knowledge of containerisation - e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud hosting
* Able to demonstrate the ability to write modularised and testable code
* A solid understanding of Git, source code management and managing change
* Experience in DevOps Continuous Integration and Delivery including tools such as Jenkins and Urban Code
* Experience with agile development methods, practices & tooling e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Jira & Confluence.
* Sound understanding of Data Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Integration Architecture would be advantageous
