Head Resourcing is pleased to be working with one of the UK's leading fashion retailers who are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Lead to join their Enterprise Services team.
About the Role
This is a strategic and hands-on leadership position where you will shape the direction, architecture, and lifecycle of the organisation's infrastructure estate. You'll lead technology transformation initiatives, mentor support teams, and ensure operational excellence across the enterprise environment.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven track record in infrastructure leadership within a large-scale enterprise.
- Strong technical expertise across:
- Windows OS (7/10/11, Server 2016/2019), Active Directory, Office 365, and Exchange.
- Azure, VMware vSphere, TCP/IP networking protocols.
- DHCP, VPN, and firewall technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Meraki).
- Experience leading infrastructure projects such as domain migrations, lifecycle upgrades, and cloud transitions.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds), patch management, and security audits.
- Relevant certifications desirable: Microsoft Certified (Azure Administrator Associate), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), ITIL Foundation.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
What You Will Be Doing
- Defining and evolving infrastructure architecture to align with business goals.
- Leading lifecycle management to ensure systems are secure, scalable, and future-ready.
- Driving transformation initiatives to modernise platforms and streamline processes.
- Managing environments across Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, Azure, and VMware.
- Ensuring high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and production stability.
- Overseeing installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware/software systems.
- Mentoring IT Support Analysts and Engineers, fostering technical growth and collaboration.
- Implementing capacity planning, performance monitoring, and compliance best practices.
- Coordinating with vendors and stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver solutions.
- Maintaining documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
- Owning the escalation process within the IT Helpdesk system.
