Our client, a financial services organisation based in Edinburgh, is looking for an Infrastructure Architect for an initial 6 month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Infrastructure Architect to join the Platform Architecture and Design team.
The successful candidate will be recognised as the Architecture and Technology Subject Matter Expert, responsible for performing IT design activities across one or more projects. You will be expected to have detailed knowledge of Infrastructure Design and develop detailed understanding of the client's data, applications and Infrastructure.
You will have:
*Extensive infrastructure architecture and design experience gained from within the Financial Sector Industry
*Demonstrable experience iteratively creating infrastructure design documentation that informs & guides project delivery
*Addressing evolving business and technology requirements while working closely with key stakeholders - product owners, solution architects, domain architects, engineers, project managers, 3rd parties - to shape solutions, prototype ideas and structure project delivery
*Continually developing your knowledge of the cloud, on-premise and SaaS platforms that make up our technology environment
*Applying your knowledge to a variety of different types of projects - implementing new capabilities, enhancing existing services, connecting SaaS offerings, migrating services to new platforms
*Experience of designing technology solutions in a complex, multi-platform environment - AWS, Azure, VMWare would be ideal
*Experience of large-scale Data Centre Migration delivery
*Ability to own the iterative delivery of design artefacts that define architecturally compliant solutions to business problems as requirements evolve
*Industry recognised architecture certifications e.g. AWS, Azure, VMWare, TOGAF
*1st Class Stakeholder Management & communication skills - working across all levels of the business
