Information / Cyber Security Integration Team Leader - Edinburgh - Permanent

Head Resourcing is currently recruiting an incredibly exciting new role with one of the leading investment organisations in the UK. Our client is building a new team within their IT Security function and are looking to hire a Team Leader / Manager that will deliver Information and Cyber Security integration across their organisation. You will manage a team that provides general security presence, expertise, and oversight across Information Systems - ensuring delivery of security throughout the project lifecycle. You will also ensure firm-wide security-related cloud governance is met and liaise with Information Assurance to help ensure that the four pillars of the Cyber Security Programme are met.

This team is a new team that sits within the Technology Service & Delivery side of Information Systems, and works in close association with Application Delivery, Architecture & App Platforms, and Information Assurance. The team is responsible for making sure that security technology is operating as expected and ensuring that both security subject-matter-expertise and security oversight is available to other teams within the organisation. You will assist in defining security best practice across cloud and on-premises IT environments and ensure that other teams and product owners adhere to defined security standards.

Responsibilities:
- Bring security-related subject-matter expertise to Information Systems projects and technologies.
- Contribute to ensuring security-related cloud governance is met, using tools such as Prisma Cloud, as well as liaising with DevSecOps.
- Assist in the Cybersecurity Incident Response process when required.
- Help define, measure and ensure delivery of security objectives in key projects and significant changes.
- Provide security oversight, ensuring technical security compliance is met.
- Contribute to the cyber security strategy and ensure its uptake throughout the business.
- Liaise with staff and assist the Service Desk to address security in all elements of cyber-related process.
- Assess the marketplace of security related products and recommend the relevant ones for adoption within the firm.
- Contribute to the delivery of Information Security Technology.
- Maintain relationships with senior members of staff, key vendors and user group members to ensure an appropriate level of security is achieved.

Essential:
- Strong knowledge across information security and cyber security
- Good awareness of the security threat landscape
- Understanding of end-user & device security, including endpoint protection and device management
- Knowledge of network security (including firewalls and micro-segmentation), email security and vulnerability management
- Experience of risk management
- Passion for technology, self-development and cyber security
- Azure Cloud
- Windows environments and Active Directory
- Windows and Linux OS security

Desirable:
- Any experience in using Palo Alto Prisma Cloud
- Any experience in Azure Identity Protection
- Cybersecurity relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, GSEC)
- Associate Azure Administrator / Developer / Security (or equivalent for AWS)
- MCSA
- RHCSA
