Digital Consultant

Role Purpose

The Digital Consultant engages with potential customers to help shape potential solutions and digital user journeys that provide awesome user experiences and meet the needs of the customer. They help internal and external customers to prepare compelling business cases for investment by providing key inputs such as a visualisation of a potential digital user journey and indicative costs. They remain engaged to ensure that the project vision and scope is successfully delivered by the project delivery team.

Key Outcomes

Provide digital consultancy to customers
*Engage with potential customers to understand their business drivers and help to shape potential solutions and digital user journeys that utilise the Digital Innovation Group's solution capabilities.
*Work with customers to define compelling digital user journeys that provide an awesome user experience and meet the needs of the customer.
*Ensure that user journeys are appropriately user tested in order to provide the optimal user experience possible.
*Ensure that customers' and the users' needs are paramount.
*Support customer in the creation of compelling business cases for investment in solutions to be provided by the Digital Innovation Group.
*Create compelling visual representations of potential solutions that help 'bring to life' proposals and demonstrate the 'art of the possible'.

Transition the vision into successful project delivery
*Work with engineering teams as required in order to produce working prototypes of potential user journeys.
*Ensure that the solution vision for a project is successfully transitioned into the Digital Solution Delivery project team and act as a stakeholder ensuring that the project delivers the expected vision.
*Provide expert support to customer projects on an ad hoc basis in order to ensure that the project is realising the expected benefits for the customer within the agreed project scope.
*Provide user experience design expertise to the other departments within the DIG as appropriate.

Skills & Experience

*Extensive domain knowledge and experience - Financial Advice / Planning, Investment / Asset Management
*Demonstrable experience of leading the design of compelling digital financial solutions that provide an awesome user experience and meet the needs of the customer
*Demonstrable experience of helping customers shape their digital solutions and user journeys
*Strong background in user experience design
*A clear understanding of the latest trends in digital financial technology and advice
*Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills and strong business acumen
*Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, creativity and innovation
*Demonstrable business and process analysis experience in a commercial environment
*Demonstrable experience of leading the implementation of complex software solutions for financial services / advice / wealth management customers
*Proven ability to establish strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders including senior management
*Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
*Excellent verbal skills - ability to readily explain things and "tell stories"
*Excellent written skills - ability to draw diagrams and concisely document product requirements
*Excellent organizational and time management skills
*Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
*Attention to detail
