DevOps Engineer - CI/CD pipeline - Azure DevOps, AWS, Kubernetes, Microservices (umbrella company)

Our Edinburgh based Wealth Managements client is urgently looking to hire highly experienced and enthusiastic DevOps Engineer on an initial 6-month contract. Starting as soon as possible for a 6 month initial contract, the role for the time being will be based remotely, however there will be a requirement to be in the city centre Edinburgh office possibly 2 - 3 days per week when office based work resumes.
Successful candidate will work within the DevOps team that is primarily responsible for cloud, and cloud native platforms that other development teams utilise for in-house applications, along with the associated CI/CD tooling. This role will suit a candidate with the eagerness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge.

To be successful in this role you must have the following experience and knowledge:

*Demonstrable experience of DevOps principles and practices
*Previous experience being involvement in embedding secure development practices in all stages of the development and release process
*Experience working, and ensuring compliance with, industry standards such as ISO27001/CIS benchmarks
*Demonstrable experience of secure authentication and authorisation methods
*Understanding of underlying infrastructure including networking & network security
*Agile Development & Software Development Lifecycle
*Proficient with Enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
*Experience of multiple Cloud platforms
*Experience using Infrastructure as code
*Experience in securing apps/platforms/tooling
*Ability to handle multiple streams of work with changing priorities
*Demonstrable experience of process automation
*Experience with enterprise and open source monitoring tools such as Splunk, DataDog, Instana etc.

Abilities and technical skills:-

*CI/CD pipeline - Azure DevOps or similar
*Azure/AWS
*Kubernetes/Microservices
*Strong hands-on experience in DevOps/Operations/SRE proficiencies
*Strong experience in deploying and debugging applications to production environments
*Strong experience in securing Cloud & Cloud Native applications
