Data Solution Architect / Design Lead required for an initial 6-month project with our Consultancy client, onsite 2 days per week in London.
This role requires an accomplished Data Architect and design lead, ideally with experience in data aggregation solutions, to play a major role in a data systems transformation programme, transitioning legacy data systems to the cloud and improving the methodology, automation of manual processes to enable their business to use modern, advanced analytics.
Candidates must be security cleared to SC clearance level and must engage via an FCSA accredited Umbrella company.
Our client is helping to deliver a major Data related Cloud Migration for an end client who collects and analyses large amounts of data from numerous data sources, producing statistics which are calculated using equations defined in their in-house database. Providing these statistics relies on an interconnecting set of systems to collect, store, process and publish the data.
The right candidate must have previous Data Architecture and design experience on large-scale programmes of this nature. The role will involve conducting a review of off-the-shelf vendor products which deliver data aggregate type solutions to identify whether a bespoke or existing solution will provide the best value for money.
In addition, along with the other members of the team, the Data Solutions Architect will review the current architectural design of the data storage and processing engine, including the data point model, identifying which components to retain, which should be re-engineered, and which should be halted. This should include assessment of the performance design and plans to baseline and continually monitor future performance, as well as assessments of the total cost of ownership of the new design.
