Data Solution Architect needed urgently for our technology client in Manchester.
The role is for 6-months initially, requires 2 days per week onsite in Manchester and candidates must engage via an FCSA accredited Umbrella company.
The right candidate must come from an architecture and design background, with demonstrable experience as a Solutions Architect within complex organisations. In addition to broad technical understanding, encompassing Systems, Applications & Infrastructure, candidates must have a strong understanding of Data Engineering, ideally including a range of Data related technologies such as Azure, Databricks, Spark, SQL and Python.
The role will require the successful candidate to provide architectural support across Data, Systems, Applications and Cloud technologies as part of a wider Architecture team and will also require coordination and leadership of a small team of Data Analysts currently working within the Architecture function.
Essential Skills:
- Demonstrable experience as a Solution Architect.
- Strong understanding of Data Architecture & Data Engineering.
- Understanding of Digital strategies and the ability to contribute to technical and systems roadmaps.
- Previous technical team leadership experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Strong Microsoft technical skills / understanding, including Azure
- Experience with modern analytics and big data architectures, ideally including some or all of Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory and Power BI
- Experience in SQL, Python, and ideally Spark
