A well-known and respected Edinburgh based Investment and Asset Management client is currently seeking an experienced Development Consultant to join their team. Aligned to the Trading Data Team, you will be working to develop and document a new automated test framework for data testing.
Joining them on a 3-month initial contract, the role must be engaged via Umbrella company. 1-2 days per week in the Edinburgh based office will be expected.
Essential skills include:
*Experience with C#, specifically using C# in Visual Studio in order to create .Net 6 automated data testing frameworks
*Strong skills in Oracle and SQL, specifically integrating .Net testing frameworks within Oracle/SQL Server data sources
*Demonstrable understanding of the principles of automated testing
*Understanding modern design and development principles (OOP/DRY/SOLID/YAGNI)
*Experience of Git
*Experience and knowledge of Agile development practices (Scrum or Kanban)
Experience with any of the following would be a bonus but are not essential:
*Experience using Denodo or other data virtualisation tools
*Experience using Tableau, Power BI, or other reporting tools
*Understanding the build/release process in Azure DevOps
*Experience with performance testing
*Experience using SpecFlow
*Industry specific experience or knowledge, e.g., investments or asset management
