An exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst has arisen to join one of our public sector clients. This is a 12 month FTC and the role will focus on the data/user analysis of digital products to identify the trends, impact, and interactions of users on the sites. Using this customer intelligence to provide recommendations to product teams, and drive business decisions and continuous improvement.

This role will be part of the Data & Technology team and report to the Data and Technology Manager. This is a key role within Digital Services due to the increased requirement to accurately analyse user interactions across the digital channels.

What you will do -

User Interaction Analysis:
* Analyse how users are interacting with the sites, providing recommendations to the product
teams to support the continuous improvement process.
* Identify sources of user traffic, measure the impact of the various acquisition channels
and whether they are driving the right users to the right sites to complete the right
* Continually analyse key user journeys for key audiences to identify areas for improvement
across all digital products.
* Develop well specified approaches to analyse user intelligence quickly and efficiently.

Customer Feedback Analysis:
* Analyse customer feedback from a range of key customer touchpoints (including Zendesk and
feedback from across the business) to identify recurring trends.
* Ensure these identified trends are prioritised and resolved quickly and efficiently.

Data and Analysis Technology:
* Define, set-up and manage analytics and data software applications, for example
Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Hotjar and Search Console.
* Identify opportunities for enhancing digital measurement, and work with product
teams to implement new features.
* Ensure all goals, funnels and event tracking is in place and accurately measured.
* Keeping up to date with best practice standards and key technological changes.
* Use a combination of analytical thinking with the relevant technology to identify
and solve problems quickly.

Key Requirements:

*Experience with reporting on large scale digital products / web services
*Experience of statistical analysis, research/insight methodologies and survey tools
*Expertise with standard web analytics packages, including Google Analytics suite (in
particular Analytics and Tag Manager)
*A good understanding of digital research methods
*Understanding of different data formats, and the benefits/limitations of each
