Head Resourcing are delighted to be working with one of our Third Sector clients as they look to hire a Cyber Security Analyst. The threat of a cyber attack is one of the greatest threats faced by our client, as it would severely disrupt their goals and objectives. This role is a critical hire for them as they do not currently have someone dedicated specially to the proactive management of computer security. Due to this, adopting a holistic approach to security management has been challenging, therefore, the addition of a dedicated Cyber Security Analyst would provide focus to this crucial area.
The primary focus of this role will be to provide protection of our clients computing services from a range of hacking activities and digital crime. The role holder will own, strategies and manage our clients' cyber defences. This includes monitoring, detection of and reacting to security threats using their current tools and services. The successful candidate will also have autonomy to review and specify new tools and procedures to constantly improve the organisations security posture.
Essential:
*Suitable degree and or post graduate qualification in computer science or related field of cyber, information and/or network security
*Proven experience as a Cyber Security Analyst
*Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, software, hardware, and security
*Excellent skills in assessing cyber security risks associated with various technologies and the ability to manage them
* Good working knowledge of various security technologies such as network and application firewalls, host intrusion prevention and anti-virus
*Hands-on experience of working with SaaS based platforms and Cloud services such as Azure, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform
*Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and assess risks, threats, patterns and trends
