Starting as soon as possible for an initial 6 month contract, the role for the time being will be based remotely, however there will be a requirement to be in the city centre Edinburgh office 1 - 2 days per week or fortnight as things open up.
The selected candidate will provide 2nd Line support on internally built applications & 3rd party products, investigating, analysing and logging ongoing problems, implementing data fixes and bug fixes in the live environments, developing resolutions or workarounds to known problems with a focus on root cause and developing support tools or enhancements to improve the working environment.
Essential skills include:
*Extensive Oracle PL/SQL experience
*SQL experience
*Application Support experience
*Troubleshooting / root cause analysis experience
*Excellent communication skills
Any of the following would be a bonus but are not essential:
*Web applications
*SQL Server
*Oracle Forms
*Experience of the investment management industry.
*C#/.NET
