A key Client of Head Resourcing, a large & well established Financial Services Client in Edinburgh, is current seeking 2 x Contractor Mainframe Technician (IMS DBA's) to join their IT Service Operations Team. Working with the current team across a range of tasks/responsibilities - ensuring maximum availability & optimum performance of Systems and Services, identifying/eliminating RCA of systems issues & helping to resolve incidents etc - initial Contracts will be for 3 months, remotely based and paying up to £600 per day (inside IR35/via an Umbrella Company).

To quickly summarise, our Client is seeking experienced Contractors with the following knowledge & experience;

* Extensive and in-depth Mainframe expertise
* Deep & demonstrable technical knowledge with Mainframe IMS - IMS DB Backup & Recovery processes/technologies, Database knowledge (logical and physical design), Understanding of support requirements for IMS HALDB databases & previous experience in troubleshooting database performance issues etc etc
* Previous experience within other large Financial Services organisations is always highly advantageous and will be prioritised
* Excellent people, communication & inter-personal skills - must be able to work as part of a wider team
* First class problem solving skills with a high attention to detail
