Leading technology recruitment specialist Head Resourcing has appointed Joseph Apted as Principal Consultant of the newly launched senior appointments division of the company.

Based in Edinburgh, Joseph will drive the senior appointments team as it implements an ambitious strategy to address the ever-increasing demand for exceptional technology leadership talent in Scotland and North West England.

With 19 years of experience in IT recruitment, Joseph has seen the required skillset of technology leaders change dramatically, and has most recently focussed on leadership appointments within the data and analytics space.

His career in London focussed primarily on financial services, working with a diverse range of organisations across both the sell-side and the buy-side.   This included everything from functional technology leadership roles, through to senior roles within data and analytics and cyber security. He returned to Scotland in 2016, and joins Head Resourcing from executive search company Milburn Lewis, where he grew his Scottish network.

Anna Knight, who will lead the Senior Appointments arm at Head Resourcing said: “We’re delighted to have Joseph join at an exciting time for the company. Joseph’s experience working at a senior level makes him the perfect person to build on our new division.

“He has worked in IT and financial services recruitment for all of his career, and his extensive knowledge of senior appointments within the sector will allow him to work in partnership with companies to identify the skills and experience required within the leadership team, and ensure we are sourcing the very best talent for our clients.

“There is so much opportunity for growth in the Scottish technology scene at the moment, and we are delighted to have Joe on board to support our new senior appointments offering.”
