Joining them on a 6-month initial contract, the role must be engaged via an FCSA accredited Umbrella Company. 1-2 days per week in the Edinburgh based office will be expected.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working across exploratory testing, with a focus on manual rather than automated testing, as they do not currently have an automated data testing framework. They require someone who can assess the environment, decide on the best testing technique to use and be able to articulate this decision.
Key skills/experience include:
*Experience testing new data integrations requested by the business.
*Experience working in an agile environment (e.g., Scrum or Kanban) and contributing to stand-ups and retrospectives.
*Good understanding of Gherkin syntax.
*Strong Oracle SQL skills, managing large quantities of data, and the ability to query the Oracle back end for data required for testing.
*Strong communication skills. You will be working closely in Scrum teams with Product Owners, Project Managers, Business Analysts and Developers throughout all agile ceremonies to drive requirements, develop user stories, design and execute tests, and add value to the product being delivered to the business.
*Understanding the principles of automated testing and the ability to make decisions on the types of tests to automate.
*Experience within the Asset Management/Investments sector would be highly advantageous.
*Understanding of the build/release process and integrating testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
