We are currently looking for 2 experienced SQL DBAs, one Lead SQL DBA and one SQL DBA to join our investment sector client's London-based team to provide database management, support and guidance to the business. They are keen on finding someone who is proactive and has had experience in fast-paced environments.
The right candidate must have demonstrative experience in SQL Server Database administration, strong T-SQL, experience in backup and recovery, experience of clustering, replication, virtualisation, consolidation and experience with SQL Server Business Intelligence Suite: SSRS, SSIS and SSAS.
These roles have been assessed as OUTSIDE IR35. Our client is looking for approximately 2 days a week in the office in London and 2/3 remote working.
Responsibilities:
*Manage and develop the database system
*Ensure that the database infrastructure remains consistently available to all users (including colleagues, clients, business partners and suppliers).
*Management and delivery of scheduled daily, weekly, monthly tasks.
*Liaise and build relationships with third party suppliers and clients.
*Assist with ad hoc data reports and creation of SSRS reports.
*Installation, management and support of SQL server 2012 to 2019, including cluserting.
Experience and Technical Skills:
*Experience of SQL Server database administration.
*Ability to logically and methodically problem solve IT incidents and outages.
*Extensive knowledge of clustering, replication SAN storage, virtualisation and consolidation
*Knowledge of backup strategies and data recovery.
*Knowledge of industry recognised IT and support practices.
*SSRS, SSIS and SSAS.
*Experience with SSMS, Profiler, SQLCMD and Extended Events.
*Extensive knowledge of T-SQL and SQL Server DMVs.
*Database encryption, Powershell, Visual Studio
Desirable Knowledge:
*Microsoft Azure, Microsoft BI
*RedGate and SQL Sentry
*Nimble Storage
*Database monitoring solutions
*Rubrik
