I am looking for a Software Engineering Lead to head up a small, but growing team within an innovative financial services company. Technology is at the heart and forefront of every project for the company, who are looking to modernise and transform the financial services sector.
What you'll be doing:
- Hiring, retaining, mentoring and developing the team.
- Leading the development of shared software components and libraries to accelerate the delivery of projects.
- Leading by example on coding standards, software quality, technical innovation and automation.
- Helping ensure teams are following best practice, automating this where possible so that the right thing to do also becomes the easiest thing to do.
- Participating in code reviews for the various delivery teams, to ensure we continue to produce high quality, maintainable code with appropriate documentation.
Your qualifications & experience:
- You'll have experience building self-managing engineering teams, and understand how to nurture a culture of continuous improvement.
- You'll have a strong background in full-stack software engineering, ideally with a front-end focus.
- You'll be able to clearly articulate what good looks like in software engineering, and describe how you help teams achieve it.
- You'll have strong hands on engineering skills in some or all of our core technical stack: TypeScript/Node.js/React/Kubernetes/AWS.
