An excellent opportunity has presented in Edinburgh for a Python Developer. (Edinburgh)
We are delighted to be working with an Edinburgh based client who have been on a continued journey of growth and improvement within their philanthropic and technical endeavours.
Our client is fortunate enough to have the opportunity to be at the bleeding edge of technology and has embarked on a substantial AWS transformation project looking at building/ rebuilding and transferring their current legacy systems with AWS Microservices
They operate in an Agile approach and are able to work together cohesively to carry out the 2 weekly sprints whilst supporting the wider teams with architecture and planning.
The main requirement for this role is commercial experience in
Python -I would love to talk with people who have created APIs in Python using any one of the following methods:
· AWS API Gateway and Lambda
· Flask
· Django
· Pyramid
· Falcon
· Eve
AWS - Experience of having built at least 2 tier application (API & Database) using API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, ECS or Serverless. Experience of these services would be a major advantage.
Do you understand how these services work, and how to write software to make best use of them?
· Some experience/exposure to infrastructure as code and how to deploy a 2 tier (API and Database) service on AWS using CI/CD (terraform, Cloud formation, CDK, Jenkins, GitLab CI). This could also be container running on ECS, K8s talking to a managed database.
Typescript - this is optional we use it to write infrastructure as code using AWS CDK (API that creates Cloud Formation)
