The successful candidate will be part of the Reference Data team, which is the team responsible for building and hosting various components which allow for both mastering of golden source data, and take golden copies from other systems. The architecture has a broad reach into other systems and plays a crucial role in regulatory 'good to trade' decisions.
You would be responsible for working with the Engineering Lead to deliver change on our reference data platform, employing best practice agile delivery. You will deliver high quality customer and service driven software whist continually challenging, motivating, mentoring and supporting the engineering team. Whilst this is a hands on development role you will be required to provide mentoring and guidance to less experienced developers both onshore and offshore.
You will have:
*Strong experience as a Senior software engineer with extensive Java / Spring Boot / Spring Cloud experience as well as performance tuning of the JVM
*Extensive MS SQL and large relational database experience.
*ReactJS experience an advantage.
*A good understanding of reference data and its use within financial institutions.
*Strong experience from financial services
*Good communication skills are essential, both written and verbal
