Head resourcing is looking for a windchill engoneer for a aerospace and defence company. The role is hybrid with office travel required to the offices in Harlow in Essex or Glenrothes 2 days per week.

This roles primary function is to support the Windchill PDM solution, but to also support the business in more general engineering applications. The function sits within the Digital Technology team and is responsible for the delivery and support of engineering and manufacturing solutions to all UK based divisions to successfully enable operational business and operational delivery. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the Windchill solution.

Responsibilities include:

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert and technical lead for PTC Windchill PDM with a particular focus on administering, configuring and modifying workflows within the tool.
  • Software upgrades and data migration, to include associated products such as PTC Creo.
  • Regular software maintenance, performance tuning and patching, including out of hours work.
  • Plan works with the Head of Service ensuring operational integrity and compliance covering information security, change management, asset management and software licensing.
  • Meet IS assurance governance and policies to ensure we operate with confidence, through effective maintenance of secure and stable IT platforms for the business
  • Support the development and implementation of key service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Manage incidents, problems and changes to the service efficiently and effectively following the agreed and documented processes including planning the release of updates into service.
