Head Resourcing are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to join a facilities management company in Glasgow. This role will be responsible for the support of the companies clients and global server, network, and cloud infrastructure. The successful individual is a Scrum Master who has an extensive background in dealing with IT infrastructure-based teams.
The Scrum Master will be responsible for the change and running of the large and complex infrastructure products including infrastructure life cycle management, working to introduce new services and oversight of technical roadmap and debt for the platforms and systems.
The Scrum Master should have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Azure, O365 and VM products.
Key responsibilities include:
*Providing support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.
*Removing distractions and inefficiencies - that can impede progress, and help the team stay focused on the tasks that need to be performed during each sprint.
*Manage the development and delivery of IT products utilizing Agile methodologies.
*Focus on the constant improvement of quality, and speed ensuring the team learns and gets better after each sprint.
*Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups.
*Coach team members in Agile rituals, artefacts and behaviours.
*Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration.
*Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.
*Help build a productive environment where team members take ownership the product and enjoy working on it.
*Identifying areas of improvement for the IT Ops Team and enabling them to implement planned change.
*Protecting the IT Ops Teams from external and internal distractions.
*Finding opportunities to celebrate wins, be a champion for your team and build confidence in your team.
*Fostering a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on problem-solving.
*Evaluating current processes and issues by carrying out value stream mapping and root cause analysis to streamline and drive improvements.
*Identifying areas of improvement for the IT Ops Team and enabling them to implement planned change.
Skills/Experience:
*Ideally educated to S/NVQ for Information/ Communication Technology or good experience similarly role.
*Agile certification.
*Good understanding of infrastructure technologies, Cloud, Servers, Networking.
*Experience as a project manager within an agile environment and playing the Scrum Master role.
*Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
*Knowledge of various well-documented eg Burndown reporting, Retrospective formats.
*A relevant certification in Agile.
*Experience working in an agile environment.
*Significant experience in leading the delivery for a complex product or range of products, across the spectrum of IT change and run capabilities with a particular focus, on O365, Azure, Intune and VMs.
*Experience working in an Infrastructure heavy environment with technical teams.
*Be an Agile advocate and experienced practitioner.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Pragmatic and flexible approach.
*Can-do attitude.
