Release Manager - £400 per day (inside IR35) - Fully Remote Working - initial 6-month contract

Our private sector client is currently looking for a Release Manager to own their Release Management and Implementation lifecycle for a complex suite of products that deliver critical business and customer value.

This role is for an initial 6-month contract, can be done fully-remote, and the successful candidate will need to engage via an FCSA-accredited umbrella company.

Responsibilities:

-Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews

-Maintains the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.

-Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations

-Work with DevOps engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges
-Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates
-Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes and manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations across Europe, the US and India.

Skills and Experience:
-2-6 years of previous release and/or project management experience, (Solid understanding of project management principles preferred)
-8-10 years of experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or development
-Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
-Ideally with experience of delivering tools automation across functions of code development and QA, config management, code splitting and merging, code promotion and test automation
-Prefer experience of managing Oracle based products
-Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
-Ability to communicate at all levels and provide information to a diverse stakeholder group
-Delivering well-structured communication both orally, in writing or through delivery of presentations.
-Negotiation skills
