Head resourcing are recruiting for a platform engineer to join a financial services busy platform engineering team.
Its important to note that we are recruiting for a junior platform engineer as well, so if you feel you are too inexperienced for this role but still have some of the below skills we would still like to hear from you!

We are recruiting for an experienced platform engineer to bring expertise and knowledge in of Azure container solutions as we migrate from our on-premises in-house Operational Platform into the cloud. This role will develop cloud container capabilities as well as upskilling people. You will use your experience and best practice to help transition to a cloud container environment and maintain it.
Insatiable curiosity will inspire you to learn and develop on the go as our technologies change. This is a collaborative role working alongside the wider Platform Engineering team to deliver project and strategic goals.

Your day will consist of doing the following:
*Developing, supporting and maintaining the bank's Operational Platform through an enterprise transition to Azure
*Supporting the transition from on-premises Openshift container platform to a cloud container platform.
*Experience prioritising multiple activities in a rapidly changing environment while making time for delivering service improvements
*Engineering, validating, implementing and quality assuring technical solutions
*Support our services through the proactive identification of risk and swift resolution of issues
*Identifying, engineering, quality assuring and implementing technical solutions
*Collaborating with internal and external parties to provide excellent customer service

To be successful you'll need to bring:

*Industry experience in transitioning to, supporting and maintaining a cloud container environment
*A developer mindset and scripting skills to match in languages such as Python, Java or JavaScript. (any of the previous is suitable)
*Proven track record of ability to engineer and deliver technology change to challenging deadlines
*An innovative and "can do" approach; a self-starter who takes the initiative and always knows what's next on the list to improve service
*A positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders
*Good problem-solving skills
*Exceptional communication & teamwork skills
