Salary: Up to £100,000 + benefits
I am looking for an experienced Lead Solution Architect to join an innovative company in the financial services sector. You will be joining the core architecture and development team to support the delivery teams whilst providing architecture consultancy across all projects. You will be working on greenfield projects with a newly built technology platform.
What you'll be doing:
*Ensuring the architectural direction set out at the start of a project is maintained throughout delivery.
*Working collaboratively with the software engineering and DevOps teams to build operationally robust and secure systems.
*Ensuring that architectural decisions are documented in an appropriate, but still lightweight manner.
*Rolling up your sleeves on occasion and supporting developers on our core technical stack including TypeScript, Node.js, React, Kubernetes and AWS (but a willingness to learn is a substitute for previous experience)
Your Qualifications & Experience:
*You come from a background in software engineering, in which you demonstrated an eagerness to expand your set of skills and learn new technologies.
*You understand the many aspects of "data" and appreciate its value to an organisation.
*You have worked on public-facing systems, and understand how to build them to be secure, scalable and resilient.
*You have an understanding of the opportunities of cloud computing and how to use it well.
* You must be able to work in a collaborative environment, and take leadership of the architecture roadmap where appropriate.
