I am looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join a newly established and growing in-house development team responsible for supporting an entirely cloud based technology platform for a modern financial services company.
As a Lead Software Engineer you will be hands-on in the delivery and support of the new applications that form the digital transformation programme, and will lead by example on coding standards, software quality, technical innovation and automation. You will lead the development and publishing of shared software components and libraries to accelerate the delivery of projects, and contribute to the definition of the SDLC, DevOps pipelines and the view of best practice in software engineering.
Required skillset for the role:
*A strong background in full-stack software engineering
*Strong hands on engineering skills in some or all of our core technical stack: TypeScript, Node.js, React (Native), CircleCI and AWS.
*You've defined and owned the principles of best practice across teams, socialising and championing these in a matrix organisation.
*You are an advocate of automation, particularly for quality control, always looking for opportunities to remove manual process and increase automation, and executing on these.
*You have an understanding of the opportunities of cloud computing and how to use it well.
*You have worked on public-facing systems, and understand how to build them to be secure, scalable and resilient.
