Head resourcing is looking for a software engineer for an engineering and technology consulting company with headquarters in Edinburgh. The companies services play a role in the world's energy transition, climate change, carbon neutrality and green industrial revolution. They also assist their customers in identifying, assessing, and managing technological risks of their assets and businesses.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience on backend technologies for designing and implementing data aggregation and processing cloud microservices for a prototype. This role is ideal for a candidate with roughly 2 years of experience or a masters student with slightly less who is keen to build on their technical skills learned during work and university.
Responsibilities:
- Steer the design and development phases of your new companies backend data processing platform for Digital Twin applications.
- Steer the direction for integrating 3D Digital Twinning over the companies backend.
- Participate in meetings related to the product and interact with relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with front-end developers at later stages of prototype development.
Essential:
- 2+ year of experience with data science projects
- Experience with cloud microservices and container technologies, ideally AWS but Azure is also great.
- Experience with Python, Java and/or C/C++, Erlang, Go, Ruby
- Experience with databases (e.g., MongoDB)
Working Hours & Benefits:
- A salary of up to £40k
