IT Security Architect

Contract - through until end March 2026

Up to £600 per day Inside IR35 / via Umbrella Company

Our Glasgow-based Public Sector Client seeks an experienced IT Security Architect to join their team in Glasgow. Working as part of a larger team & now reporting to the Head of Architecture, the successful candidate will take on an interesting, blended role, supporting some current Cyber projects & initiatives but also helping to look at future strategy, plans & ideas.

An initial Contract through until the end of March 2026, our Client is seeking candidate who are available now/at short notice and ideally locally based (with the ability to work in Glasgow each week). To be successful, backgrounds & skill-sets should include:

  1. Previous & proven experience working as an IT Security Architect within other Scottish Public Sector organisations (or similar)
  2. Solid foundations in IT Security with broad knowledge & experience across industry leading Security/Cyber Certifications (CISSP, SSCP, CompTIA Security+ etc), Frameworks, Tooling & Ways of Working etc
  3. The ability to work tactically, supporting several projects in a hands on capacity, but also look at the bigger picture, supporting longer-term strategic decisions & plans
  4. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Security tooling (Purview, Defender, Sentinel etc) and broad knowledge of The Cloud
  5. As always, strong communication & Stakeholder Management skills will be essential
