(End-User Compute / Workspace Technology) - Edinburgh - Permanent
Head Resourcing is currently recruiting for a Workspace Technology Team Lead to work with a leading investment company in Edinburgh. The Workspace Technology Team is responsible for managing all aspects of the client technology estate globally, ensuring continuity of experience across Windows, Apple and virtual platforms. Central to the design and implementation of all new client technology, the team is essential in helping set the technology direction of the firm and will play a critical role in both the technology fit out of their new offices as well as supporting the firms strategic shift to cloud technologies. Responsibilities:
-Line management of a small team of Workspace technology engineers
-Act as an escalation point for internal service delivery and support teams
-Assist in the development of all Workspace technology toolsets
-Identify new products / technologies that can bring value to the firm
-Represent the team across multiple function groups
-Build relationships with internal teams
-Contribute to the delivery off Workspace technology internal projects
-Maintain relationships with key vendor partners including Microsoft, Dell, and VMware
Essential:
-Line management experience
-Experience of managing devices, users and applications in a Windows environment
-Experience of managing devices, users and applications in an Apple environment (Desirable)
-Experience of managing devices, users and applications in a Virtual environment
-Good understanding of Cloud Technologies
-Understanding of end-user & device security including endpoint protection
-Passion for technology, self-development and providing quality digital experience
-Technologies: M.E.C.M., Endpoint Manager, JAMF, 0365, VMware Horizon, GPO, Tachyon, Wyse, Chocolatey, AdminStudio, Zoom

Purpose of Role
This role is Lead one of the Workspace Technology teams, which is responsible for delivering the end user technology experience to staff. With a focus on end-user compute, the team deliver applications, services and policies to all staff and devices across the firm. The primary goal of WST is to ensure all Workspace services are accessible, secure and performant.
