Docker, Linux & Python Engineer (GIT, Unit Testing) urgently needed for our Edinburgh based technology SME, though it will be remote to begin with. This role requires an experienced contract Python Software Engineer with extensive Docker expertise on Linux platforms to join the Edinburgh based team. In addition to Python it's essential that you have extensive Docker, Linux and Git experience.

The successful candidate will be part of a growing new product development team focusing on machine learning techniques. You will have experience of python within a technical or scientific environment with excellent coding standards. Technically you will be accustomed to unit testing, docker and working across both Windows and Linux.

Essential skills:
Knowledge / experience with Docker containers on Linux
Knowledge / experience with Python
Knowledge / experience with Git
Knowledge / experience with Linux
Knowledge / experience with unit testing
Good general software engineering skills

Desirable:
Knowledge / experience with full stack web development using TypeScript, Node.js, Angular, CSS, HTML etc.
Knowledge / experience with C#
