As this organisation continues to go from strength to strength, they need a Director of Engineering to join their Senior Management team and own a mandate of building a world-class engineering and technical operation. The successful candidate will be a visible leader within the organisation, championing company values and demonstrating a high degree of adaptability. The role will cover a range of responsibilities from inputting into technology and wider business strategy, to diving into highly technical issues. There are a number of key projects for the new Director of Engineering to be involved in from day one, such as outlining a coherent approach to quality and testing as well as an ongoing cloud readiness project, so knowledge or expertise in these areas is highly desirable.
This is a varied, challenging and exciting role where a strong blend of both technology and leadership skills will play a key part in ensuring success in the role. A flexible and hands-on attitude is required as the organisation grows, you will need to be able to manage shifting priorities in a calm and proactive manner.
The company offers a vibrant, inclusive work environment and whilst the role is initially based remotely, as and when possible you would be based from their central Edinburgh premises.
