Head Resourcing are excited to be working with a facilities management client who are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their ever expanding team. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with many ongoing ambitious and interesting projects. The role is fully remote, however you would be required to go into the office near Glasgow on very rare occasions for meetings.
The role will be to support, manage and maintain core facilities management applications platforms which are a critical enabler of the company by acting as a hybrid Application Operations (AppOps) team with responsibility for the efficient running of the application and platform at the nexus of dev/engineering and operations IT teams.
Role Duties
- Service Level Management - making sure applications are available within service level agreements.
- Support and Incident Management - taking responsibility for the complete operational platform including middleware, database and cloud/infra platform (in conjunction with infrastructure/operations IT specialists in DBA and infra/SysAdmin teams).
- Monitoring - improved production monitoring.
- Configuration - Infra/Platform - driving continual improvement including infrastructure configuration and management.
- Release and Change Management - managing the release of applications - acting as the 'gatekeeper' to production. Release approval. Release automation.
- Dev support - Build/Testing - improving the dev process by ensuring efficient development platform and tools including automation and process improvement across code dev/merging, build and continuous integration, test automation, packaging and release, source code management, tools and artefact repository.
- Ensure compliance of all major software elements with CRH IT security policies and 3rd party security requirements.
Required skills and experience
- A successful track record in a similar role (DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineer etc).
- Application/ Middleware/ Infra Monitoring (tools).
- Knowledge of Cloud/Azure platform services.
- Incident and problem management.
- Release automation.
- Mobile application deployment and support.
