Our client is a leading investment company in Edinburgh that is looking to utilise new technology to deliver disruptive ideas across their business in a highly experimentation driven environment, exploring technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, and Blockchain to understand their potential value to the business and implement new business practices. Some projects are already in flight which will need additional support, however there will be a variety of greenfield R&D projects to work on to deliver re-imagined ways of working and best-of-breed work practices. The ideal candidate for this role will be someone that can demonstrate a strong development background, values code quality, is highly innovative, and has an open and curious mindset that wants to challenge the norm. Responsibilities:
- Work with business users and senior technology lead's to develop innovative solutions across new disruptive technologies
- Work across areas such as AI, Machine Learning, Blockchain, Cloud, Devops - trialling cutting edge technologies to challenge current internal work practices that can be delivered in new ways
- Support and mentor more junior colleagues
Essential:
- Experience in application stack development, with C# / .NET
- Ideally scripting experience with Python
- Solid understanding of Devops
- Agile methodologies experience
- Excellent communication skills
Desirable:
- Cloud experience with AWS or Azure
- Any Machine Learning, AI, RPA experience
