Cloud Analyst / Specialist - Azure / AWS - Permanent - Glasgow

Head Resourcing is working with an organisation in Glasgow that is looking to hire an experienced Cloud Analyst to deliver both BAU and project work across the entire organisation's infrastructure. With overall responsibility for the Azure infrastructure and all services, you will also work as part of specific or integrated project teams to deliver the required portfolio workstreams and deliverables. You will be responsible for planning and engineering of the organisation's cloud computing infrastructure and applications, and will implement and design hardware / software solutions, and monitor the overall performance of systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a key individual in the infrastructure team and gives you the opportunity to provide expert advice across the organisation when it comes to projects and systems that involve cloud solutions. Initially the role be based remotely due to Covid-19, however longer term our client is happy for suitable candidates to be based pre-dominantly at home with occasional office visits (post Covid-19). Responsibilities:
- Lead on the technical solutions or offerings for all Cloud based Services, in translating the business needs into technical requirements
- Provide expert advice and the development of the Microsoft Azure Cloud, including but not limited to; ARM Templates, Hypervisor, PowerShell, Networking/VPN, Active Directory and Active Directory Federation Services
- Delivery of support for the Hybrid Cloud / Azure / Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) infrastructure used by 3500 users and partners
- Handles multifaceted, long term focused projects involving multiple disciplines e.g. SIAM
- Provides leadership and direction to high priority projects undertaken for cloud services creating solutions
- Evaluates new technology developments and evolving business requirements influencing the cloud strategy
- Proactively assesses and analyses the performance of the partners Public Cloud and Virtual Private Cloud infrastructure, creating solutions for any issues identified
- Represent your department as the technical expert at technical design authority meetings with peers providing expert technical advice and guidance to contribute to end results
- Analysis of HPC, Hyper Cloud Platform, to identify risks, gap and resolution for all technical issues that cannot be resolved at 1st, 2nd or 3rd line
- Accountable for the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure providing detailed analysis and reporting information and production of necessary materials
- Maintain all aspects of Active Directory, including OU structure, roles, GPO, DNS & DHCP

Essential:
- Demonstrable experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud
- Experience in virtualisation with technologies such as VMWare or HyperV
- Experience of managing large infrastructure environments including technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, and Networking technologies.
- Understanding of Microsoft O365 components such as RMS, Intune, Skype for Business, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and Yammer
- SCCM
- Experience in any of the following ARM Templates, Hypervisor, PowerShell, Networking / VPN, Active Directory and Active Directory Federation Services

Desirable:
- Any industry standard technical or professional qualifications such as MCITP Enterprise administrator, VCP4, VCAP5-DCV, MCSE, CCA or CCEA
- ITIL accreditation
