Salary - £19500 - £20750

Working with a solutions focused business who are a leader in the medical equipment industry.

They have an immediate requirement for a clinical specialist to join their Ultrasound Development Team. This is an excellent opportunity for potential career advancement and exposure to leading advanced visualization and analytics technology within the medical imaging industry.

You will be working alongside the ultrasound Principal Clinical Researcher in the Edinburgh-based Ultrasound Development Team. Your responsibilities will be mainly focused on understanding and analysing real world clinical problems related to ultrasound hardware, software, probes, functionality, consumables, techniques, integration and workflow, come forward with potential solutions to these issues and translate them into clear software product requirements. As a Clinical Specialist, you will be informing and educating the engineering team you are working with about the environment and scenarios in which the products they are developing will be used to ensure the product specification context is clearly understood.

During the product development phase, you will focus on product safety, correct software output, clinical efficiency, user friendliness and performance. It will be your task to assist with acceptance testing and clinical validation of the products the Ultrasound Development team is working on in cooperation with our network of Clinical Collaborators. In summary, you will be the clinical user 'by proxy', defining the relevancy, functionality, look and feel of future applications.

We are looking for candidates with a Postgraduate Certificate or Postgraduate Diploma in medical or clinical ultrasound, or holding the older Diploma of Medical Ultrasound (DMU); or can provide evidence of substantial experience in ultrasound (healthcare facility or medical industry) .

Candidates should be able to demonstrate their ability to clearly communicate complex information to a non-clinical audience, to understand the role of ultrasound in clinical care paths and be willing to travel frequently in the light of clinical collaborator visits, external validation and meetings with other development teams.

This a fantastic opportunity to join a highly dynamic, innovative and diverse team and be a key part of a global organisation that really values and empowers their employees to be the best version of themselves. Apply now if interested.
