Chief Technology Officer
Lothian Broadband are a Scottish Based hybrid Altnet provider, who have enjoyed significant growth over recent years. Originally established to ensure that the local community and businesses had access to wireless or fibre-optic broadband services, Lothian Broadband have recently completed their first Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) network in Gifford. The local access to Superfast broadband is critical to people and business alike and the company provides a needed and vital service.
The organisation has bold growth ambitions, and as part of their future growth is appointing a Chief Technology Officer to be responsible for regional broadband network management and development. This is a key senior hire for the company with a reporting line directly to the MD and with Board exposure, with the remit of further shaping the future of the business.
We are looking for someone who has the experience and ability to take on the technical leadership and management of the continued Network expansion in the Lothians, Scottish Borders and beyond.
It would be essential that the role holder has experience in broadband technology and ideally fibre and wireless networks and who has a blend of leadership, strategic and technology skills who would be comfortable working in a growth environment.
As you can imagine, there will be varying and broad challenges in this role, and it would suit someone with energy and enthusiasm who can identify and solve problems, be hands-on where required and be a strong leader for a growing team.
Along with the knowledge of broadband technology, it is likely that you'll have a degree in high-level engineering and IT. Lothian Broadband are an inclusive employer and can consider flexible working.
