Business Analyst
Hybrid role with 3 days in Manchester City Centre

Are you a dynamic and versatile individual seeking a challenging role as a Business Analyst?
This leading specialist business and travel solutions company are looking for a BA to join their expanding IT department helping define and manage business systems, platforms and software.
Your duties and involvement will include:
Platform Expertise: Act as the go-to expert for software platforms, product sets, and business system capabilities.
Solution Seeking: Identify and address deficiencies in products, processes, or knowledge. Manage the delivery into production and live use for business across all regional offices.
Capability Development: Define and develop capabilities of existing products or processes in live operation.
Requirements Transformation: Capture and transform business requirements into technical solutions using techniques such as Use Cases, User Stories, UML diagrams, and other artifacts.
Testing: Test new functionality with individual and/or instrumental involvement.
API Analysis: Analyse and understand APIs for integrating third-party platforms including travel specific platforms.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Run workshops with internal and external stakeholders, collaborating with third-party providers and experts as necessary.
Product Presentation: Demonstrate and present product and resolution ideas internally and externally to existing/potential clients, supplier partners, or third-party providers.
Change Management: Provide visibility of product or process changes, ensuring awareness and clear requirements for technical teams.
Support and Guidance: Offer assistance, support, and guidance to all appropriate personnel for business and technical system requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Manage the lifecycle of small changes, enabling continuous improvements with minimal disruption to the business.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
- Previous travel industry experience and commercial understanding or knowledge with global distribution systems (GDS)
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficient in Use Cases, User Stories, UML diagrams, and other relevant techniques.
- Familiarity with APIs and third-party platform integration.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Change management and continuous improvement mindset.
