Audio / Visual (AV) Analyst (with SJIB Grade Card) - Edinburgh - Permanent

Head Resourcing is currently recruiting for a leading investment company in Edinburgh that is going through a period of exceptional growth and is looking to hire an experienced Audio / Visual Analyst with experience as an Electrician. Our client is building a new global headquarters and they are keen to hire a talented individual that will contribute to the delivery of their new offices (160 rooms to be fitted with A/V technology) and then support and maintain those offices once the building opens and is in general use. You will be tasked with providing a secure and stable environment for staff to hold collaborative meetings; you will be responsible for a range of technologies and have the opportunity to develop the AV platforms further and input to the strategic direction of these technologies. Your responsibilities will also include supporting the initial fit-out of the AV rooms, support / break-fix / lifecycle management, working with 3rd party vendors, and the management and maintenance of all the technical kit required. Our client is using Smart Building technology extensively in their new offices so you will be exposed to technology such as Thermal Imaging, EICR, EV Charging, Photovoltaic technology, and electrical conditioning.

Responsibilities:
- Develop AV standards for all installations across our global offices
- Provide technical support for our AV installations
- Collaborate with Infrastructure & Facilities Management teams on the design & planning of new installations
- Provide electrical assistance to the facilities team for maintenance tasks and projects

Essential:
- Approved electrician with a current SJIB Grade card
- City & Guilds Testing and Inspection 2391 experience
- Understanding of AV technologies and cabling
- Experience of AV Installations
- Methodical approach to AV troubleshooting and fault finding skills
- Good working knowledge of Teams, Zoom platforms
- Ability to create as built and maintenance documentation

Desirable:
- ECS Network Infrastructure installer or Network Infrastructure Advanced Installer
- Any qualifications in audio visual technology such as Cedia
- Any IT skills and general IT Infrastructure experience
- Commissioning experience would be an advantage
- Rack Building experience would be an advantage
- Any knowledge of AMX / Crestron / Extron
- Experience installing projectors, Interactive screens, video walls, audio and switcher / scalers
