The right candidate must have extensive experience in Oracle PL/SQL along with previous experience in supporting in-house developed business related applications and other relevant 3rd party products, ideally as an Application Support Analyst (or similar).
Starting as soon as possible for an initial 6 month contract, there will be a requirement to be in the city centre Edinburgh office 2 days per week.
The successful candidate will provide production support on internally built applications & 3rd party products, for multiple complex systems with high volumes.
Essential skills include:
*2nd Line and/or Application Support experience
*Extensive Oracle PL/SQL experience
*SQL experience
*Troubleshooting / root cause analysis experience
*Technically minded, someone who can get up to speed fairly quickly from a technical perspective
*Excellent communication skills
Any of the following would be beneficial but are not essential:
*Web applications
*SQL Server
*Oracle Forms
*C#/.NET
*Experience of the investment management industry
Please note, this role requires to be facilitated via an umbrella company. Applicants must be open to Hybrid working and must be willing to work in Edinburgh 2 days every week, as required.
