Application Developer (C#, .Net Core, Oracle, SQL Server databases)

Application Developer needed for our Financial Services and Investment client based in Edinburgh, though the role can be worked remotely part of the time.

Our Edinburgh based and highly regarded Asset Management client is looking for an experienced Application Developer to join their growing Data Management team within the Application Development department
The Data Management team work closely with the External Data Delivery team to bring in data from external providers, cleanse that data and then make it available to systems and business processes.
The right candidates will have full application and software development lifecycle experience combined with a demonstrable background in C#, specifically .NET Core and .NET Framework, Agile and experience using Oracle and/or SQL Server databases.

Key responsibilities will include;
*Design and develop applications within the team, ensuring high code quality
*Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure Client Relationship Management applications meet their needs
*Within the development team, contribute to the evolution of our Agile and DevOps practices

To be successful in this Contract, our Client is seeking an experienced .NET Developer with expertise in the following areas:
*Strong C#, .NET Core / .NET Framework skills
*Experience of using Oracle or SQL Server databases
*Experience working with containerisation (Docker) and Kubernetes
*Experience in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
*Strong skills in Oracle PL/SQL
*RESTful services
*Experience in Design and architecture
*Experience of version control systems (Git or similar) and understanding of branching workflows.
*Experience and knowledge of Agile methodologies
*Cloud development (Azure)
*Knockout, ASP.NET MVC

The role must be engaged via an FCSA accredited Umbrella company. The initial contracts will be for 6 months and predominantly remotely based with 1 - 2 days' weekly from the Edinburgh office.
