About this job.
Key Responsibilities include,
*Provide technical leadership and act as the lead point of contact for all technical matters and escalations related to Network Infrastructure
*In-depth experience of supporting, troubleshooting and maintaining of existing network systems, programs and protocols
*In-depth knowledge of Cisco's ACI Architecture, VXLAN, routing and switching protocols, load balancers, DNS and WiFi
*Work as the senior technical lead of the overall Network Production support team and external vendors teams to provide Network support for Network incidents, problems and changes.
*In-depth knowledge of data communications and network experience of operating systems and tools including Wireshark
*Good knowledge of a variety of current and emerging technologies (Software Defined and Cloud oriented)
*Knowledge and experience working with Security platforms like Firewalls, Proxies, NAC DDoS, IPS/IDS WAF
*Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to communicate technical information to all levels and to a non-technical audience
*To keep abreast of technical developments, including vendor product strategies and industry advancements and to participate in developing or setting standards as required
In order to be successful in the role, candidates ideally to have
*Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
*Networking experience within as many of the following
-Network switching and routing
-Cisco ACI Data Centre architecture
-Layer 3 routing including BGP, OSPF
-Layer 2 switching - Cisco 7K, 9K, VXLAN and traditional switching
-F5 Load Balancer
-WiFi - Cisco Aironet APs and WLC
-Network Security including:
-Firewall - Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, F5 AFM
-NAC - ForeScout
-Proxy - BlueCoat
*A proven track record and experience working within 24/7 financial operational environment or similar.
*Confidence to act as the senior technical lead in the team and first point of contact for other operational teams.
*Ability to cope in a technically complex and fast-changing environment
*Ability to think strategically and evaluate options in the short, medium and long term
*Good communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently and logically both in writing and verbally
*Clear decision-making ability with the facility to judge complex situations and assess when to and not to escalate issues
*Self motivated, able to work on own initiative and able to work collaboratively and constructively within multi discipline teams
