Head Resourcing is currently recruiting for a Test Manager to work with one of the leading lights in the Scottish financial services industry, a client with an exceptional employer / employee reputation. Our client utilises technology to it's fullest and is keen to recruit a Test Manager with a demonstrable background in the delivery of an exceptional testing function across a wide range of projects. You will be responsible for the management of testing activities within the development projects; planning and overseeing the system and acceptance testing as well as early lifecycle validation and verification. You will produce and approve testing deliverables and milestones to be achieved, and will ensure the increased adoption of automated testing across the development teams. Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple test teams or streams where applicable
- Define the test processes, test team structure, and test tools and automation
- Act as an internal champion for testing, especially automated testing
- Work with automation testing specialists to extend automated testing coverage where applicable
- Ensure capacity planning is completed across all project phases and utilise test resources across projects as needed
- Ensure that the testing function is adequately resourced in terms of staffing, environments, and test tools
- Work with Devops team to improve continuous delivery capability
- Represent the testing function to project managers, delivery managers, end users, and business sponsors
- Provide management information to stakeholders and project managers
- Manager all test phases for projects; including system, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing
- Oversee test strategy
Essential:
- ISEB / ISTQB accreditation
- Extensive background in Test Management
- Strong planning skills; applying logic and pragmatism to project plans and resource planning, as well as forecasting and estimations of efforts required to meet objectives
- Exceptional leadership skills and stakeholder management experience
Desirable:
- Automated testing tools experience
- Any experience within the investment or asset management industries
