Head Resourcing are excited to be working on behalf of a leader in the Education Management sector who is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their established engineering team.


This position has come about as our clients product is hosted on an Azure environment which is currently being looked after by several senior members of the development team. Although they are doing a great job, they are now looking for a specialist in DevOps practices and Azure who can help:


Make improvements on the azure based environment
Make improvements to their IaC coverings
Improve their code deployment pipelines
Implement new automation testing environments
Perform the day-to-day maintenance of the Azure environment.


You will receive the support from the senior members of the team and is a great opportunity for the right person to come in and make meaningful impactful changes to how the team works. You will be the specialist coming in and will be able to use your experience and knowledge to make suggestions on best practices.


The right person for this role will have experience working with:

Cloud computing with either Azure, GCP or AWS (they currently use Azure but may be moving to AWS)
Experience working as a DevOps Engineer and works towards DevOps mentality.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Docker & containerisation
Any experience with version control (GIT)
Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform
Knowledge of automation using scripting/programming tools such as PowerShell, Bash, C#, JavaScript, or Python.


The salary ranges for this role are between £50,000 - £65,000 and the client are happy to look at fully remote candidates who are based within the UK and hold the relevant right to work status. Unfortunately there is no sponsorship available for this role.
