Quality Engineer - Security (Edinburgh)

About the role

Head Resourcing is pleased to be working with one of the UK's leading retail banks who have a requirement for an experienced Quality Engineer specialising in security testing. This role will offer the chance for you to work in an important transformation project to help define the future of the banks goals through technology. You will work with the latest technology to outline best practises to provide technology driven solutions for the customers.

Responsibilities

  • You will play a key role in providing solutions to customers.
  • You will utilise an automation first approach to reduce risk in security.
  • You will work in an agile environment to deliver software at speed to the market.
  • Working in collaboration with other QE's and stakeholders to share best practise and testing activities.
  • As a Quality Engineer you will act as a champion for security across the team.

Key Skills

  • Experience designing and implementing automated security testing.
  • Experiencing using security test tools such as: SonarQube, Zed Attack Proxy and Burpsuite.
  • Strong communication skills, presenting new ideas and solutions to the team.
  • Worked in agile environments and having a passion for the values these methods hold.
  • ISTQB Advanced Security Testing Certification would be ideal for this role.
  • Automation tools such as: Selenium, Postman, Load Runner, and Cypress IO would be beneficial.

Salary

  • £40-49k depending on experience

Ways of working

  • This role will offer hybrid methods of working with the office being based in Edinburgh.
    Candidates must be able to attend the office on a weekly basis ideally.
