Our client is recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to work with their application development teams and take end-to-end ownership of project delivery, whilst ensuring that high quality solutions are implemented in line with business requirements and expectations. Your background will include working with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Testers etc. and ideally you will have a strong understanding of working in an Agile environment. Responsibilities:
- Work with the Product Owner (PO) and other business stakeholders to prioritise and deliver the project scope / backlog
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders and project teams to develop and maintain project plans. Gain a detailed understanding and take ownership of the end-to-end project activity / deliverables i.e. requirement gathering through to UAT & Implementation
- Take responsibility for day-to-day management of the Project Teams including Business Analysts, Tech Leads, Development teams, System Testers
- Facilitating project meetings (stand ups, project planning, retrospectives, etc) in line with agile project methodologies, as well as leading / facilitating Stakeholder Management across a number of business and IT teams
- Create Project Status Reports and providing project updates at the Programme & Project Group meetings and managing & providing visibility of Project Risks and Issues, escalating when appropriate
- Manage engagement with 3rd party vendor teams and contribute to the ongoing improvement of project management processes within the area
Essential:
- Extensive background and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools.
- Experience of software delivery, including cross-functional, cross-disciplinary project management and analysis experience
- Experience of leading teams through all phases of the software development lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery of high quality technical solutions
- Understanding of delivering IT programmes in an Agile framework (Agile, Scrum, Kanban)
- Ideally you will have previously delivered projects with integration and data migration as a key component of the project
- Project planning experience - ability to apply project logic and pragmatism to project plans.
- Resource planning, forecasting and estimation of effort required from others to meet your project objectives.
- Strong stakeholder management experience
Desirable:
- A recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2, Scrum, APMG, etc would be advantageous
- Experience working in Investment Management is desirable, but not essential.
